The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) today raised from 14 to 17 the number of districts under yellow warning until 21:00, with the exception of Viana do Castelo. In the warning issued on Friday, the IPMA had placed under yellow warning the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Faro, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisboa, Leiria, Beja, Castelo Branco, Coimbra and Portalegre until 19:00 on Saturday. In the update made in the early afternoon today, the IPMA added the districts of Porto, Braga and Aveiro, raising the warning to yellow until 21:00. The yellow warning is due to hot weather.
