More than 50 thousand people are expected at Caramulo, in Tondela, Viseu district, from September 4 to 6, for the 21st edition of Motorfestival, dedicated to classic and sports cars and motorcycles. The event has a record number of registrations, including 180 cars in the Castrol Historical Hillclimb and more than 150 motorcycles, with debut appearances of models such as the Copersucar FD#03 (the first Formula 1 on the circuit), Ferrari F80 and McLaren P1. More than 1,700 automobiles, motorcycles and aircraft will participate, as well as guest drivers like Pedro Matos Chaves and Tiago Monteiro. The festival also includes Retro Park, the exhibition "World War II Live and in Color" and celebrations of 140 years of the automobile and 80 years of the Vespa. The mayor of Tondela highlighted the efforts to certify Caramulo as a sustainable tourism destination.
