This year's Rock in Rio is expected to move around R$ 3.3 billion in the Rio economy and attract 700,000 people to the City of Rock, in Barra da Tijuca. Almost half of the audience comes from outside the state of Rio, mainly from São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Paraná, with the hotel network in the capital at almost 90% occupancy. The festival starts next Friday, September 4th, with two weekends of events, including the September 7th holiday, featuring artists such as Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Calvin Harris, Black Eyed Peas, Elton John, Maroon 5, among others.
