On Tuesday, the first day of September, mainland Portugal will have partly cloudy or clear skies across most of the territory. This forecast was issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the body responsible for monitoring weather conditions in Portugal.
The North and Centre regions are an exception, possibly showing greater cloud cover during the morning. This possibility of more overcast skies is limited, however, to the morning period in these areas of the country.
IPMA also warns of the occurrence of sometimes strong wind in two specific areas: the west coast and the highlands. These regions should experience stronger wind gusts compared to the rest of the territory.
The day will thus be mostly dry and with clear spells, despite the strong wind conditions in some coastal areas and mountainous zones, characterizing a transition to the beginning of the month of September.
