Eleven districts on mainland Portugal are on Thursday under a yellow warning due to hot weather, issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere.
The districts covered by the warning are Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre.
The yellow warning, the second lowest level on a three-tier scale, is in effect between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Thursday, during which time a significant rise in temperatures is expected.
