Fifteen districts in mainland Portugal are under a yellow warning due to intense heat. The districts covered are Viseu, Évora, Porto, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Lisboa, Leiria, Beja, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra, Portalegre, and Braga.
The yellow warning, which represents a risk situation for certain activities dependent on weather conditions, is in effect until 6:00 PM on Monday.
This warning was issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) and covers the entirety of mainland Portuguese territory, with the sole exception of the district of Faro.
