Guimarães hosts from September 8 to 10 the eighth edition of the National Urban Cleaning Meeting (ENLU), promoted by the Urban Cleaning Association, integrated into the celebrations of Guimarães 26 – European Green Capital. The event, which has already been held in Braga, Loulé, Cascais, Funchal and Porto, brings together municipalities, companies, technicians and political decision-makers for three days to discuss topics such as public space management, green areas, beaches, environmental enforcement and urban sustainability. The president of ALU, Ana Raimundo, highlighted that the choice of Guimarães represents recognition of the work developed in the area, while councilor Alberto Martins emphasized the city's role as a national reference in good urban cleaning and waste management practices.
