The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere issued a weather forecast for Madeira. The sky should be generally few clouds, although it is expected to be very cloudy on the north slope and in the highlands of the island.
There is also a possibility of weak precipitation on the north slope and in the highlands of Madeira island. The wind will be light to moderate, with speeds between 10 and 30 kilometres per hour, blowing from the northeast.
At times, the wind may be strong, reaching up to 40 kilometres per hour at the east and west extremes of the island, as well as in the highlands. This situation of stronger wind is expected to occur especially until mid-afternoon.
