Portalegre: maximums around 40 degrees put district under yellow warning

Rádio Portalegre2 September 2026 at 11:23

The district of Portalegre will be under yellow warning from 10:00 this Thursday, due to the intense heat felt in the region.

The weather forecast points to a significant increase in maximum temperature, which should reach values around 41 degrees. This value represents extreme heat that puts the health of the population at risk.

The yellow warning is the second lowest level on a three-level weather warning scale. This classification indicates that there is a high risk of prolonged exposure to the sun and high temperatures.
