Nine Algarve municipalities with "maximum" rural fire danger

Nine municipalities in the Algarve have "maximum" rural fire danger, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA). The affected municipalities are Monchique, Portimão, Silves, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, Tavira, Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António.

Other five Algarve municipalities have "very high" risk, namely Aljezur, Lagos, Vila do Bispo, Lagoa and Albufeira. Faro and Olhão are classified with "elevated" danger.
