Seven districts in the Centre and South regions of Portugal are under yellow warning due to high temperatures. The affected districts are Beja, Castelo Branco, Évora, Faro, Lisbon, Setúbal and Portalegre.
At the same time, 19 municipalities are at maximum fire danger, which represents the highest level of fire risk.
The meteorological situation is causing conditions conducive to the occurrence of fires, with intense heat increasing the risk in various areas of Portuguese territory.
The authorities maintain the alert for the need for heightened vigilance during this period of extreme heat.
