The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere issued a hot weather warning for seven districts of mainland Portugal. The yellow warning is in effect until 21h00 today.
The districts covered by the warning are Beja, Castelo Branco, Évora, Faro, Lisbon, Setúbal and Portalegre. The measure was communicated by IPMA through an official statement.
The reason for issuing the warning is related to the high maximum temperature values expected in these regions. IPMA recommends caution to the population of these areas due to intense heat.
