Seven districts on mainland Portugal are under yellow warning due to intense heat. The warning was issued by meteorological authorities to alert the population to the high temperatures.
Although forecasts indicate a drop in minimum temperature in some regions of the country, in other areas thermometers can reach 38 degrees. This situation maintains the risk of thermal discomfort and prolonged sun exposure.
Authorities recommend that the population take precautions, such as frequent hydration, avoiding sun exposure during the hottest hours and staying in cool places. The yellow warning is the second lowest level on a three-level scale, indicating potentially dangerous weather conditions.
