The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) raised this Saturday the number of districts under yellow warning from 14 to 17. The update was made in the early afternoon.
The districts of Porto, Aveiro and Braga were included in the warning list during this update. Only Viana do Castelo was left out of this measure.
The yellow warning is the third most serious in a scale of four levels and indicates a risk situation for certain activities dependent on weather conditions. Citizens should follow the evolution of the situation and take appropriate precautions.
