Eleven districts will be under yellow warning due to hot weather

Eleven districts of Portugal will be under yellow warning on Thursday due to hot weather, with high values of maximum temperature expected. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) is the entity responsible for issuing this weather warning.

The districts covered by the warning are Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisboa, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre. The yellow warning will be in effect between 10:00 and 19:00 on Thursday.

Eleven districts in Portugal, including Viseu, will be under yellow warning on Thursday due to hot weather, with temperatures that could reach 40 to 42 degrees in the Tagus Valley, Beira Baixa and Alentejo. IPMA forecasts a temperature rise of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in some locations, with the warning in effect between 10:00 and 19:00. The rural fire danger will be very high across most of the territory.
