The district of Viseu is under yellow warning due to hot weather. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere issued this weather warning for several districts of mainland Portugal.
The yellow warning covers the districts of Bragança, Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Vila Real, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisboa, Beja, Castelo Branco and Portalegre. This issuance covers a vast area of Portuguese territory.
The warning will be in force between 9:00 am on Thursday and 6:00 am on Friday. During this period, a significant rise in temperatures is expected in these regions of the country.
