IPMA increased the number of heat warnings, now having 15 districts under yellow warning for hot weather until tomorrow, the 14th. Between today and Monday, these districts are under yellow warning, with only Faro, Bragança and Guarda excluded from this list. The warnings will be in effect until 6 PM tomorrow.
In addition to mainland Portugal, the Madeira archipelago is also under the same yellow warning, due to the persistence of high temperature values. In this case, the warning should extend until 6 PM on Tuesday, the 15th.
The heat will peak between today and tomorrow, Monday, with pronounced thermal anomalies forecast for most of the mainland territory. IPMA issued a series of hot weather warnings that are already in effect.
