Temperatures will reach 35 degrees this Sunday, a day when a marked increase in heat is expected in mainland Portugal. The sky will be partly cloudy throughout the day, contributing to a sensation of hot and dry weather.
The highest maximums will be recorded in the inland regions and in Alentejo, where thermometers may exceed 35 degrees. These areas are traditionally the most affected during heat waves in the country.
Meteorological authorities alert to the care needed when exposed to the sun, especially during the hottest hours. Frequent hydration and avoidance of outdoor physical activities during the hottest periods of the day are recommended.
