Thirteen districts in mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning due to heat. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) issued a warning of "persistence of high values of maximum temperature".
The warning comes into effect at 09:00 on Sunday and remains in effect until 18:00 on Monday. During this period, maximum temperatures are expected to remain high in these regions.
The yellow warning is the second lowest level on a three-level meteorological danger scale, indicating a moderate risk situation that requires special attention.
