The Madeira archipelago will have this Sunday, September 13, practically clear sky, but under increased meteorological surveillance. The meteorological situation combines persistent heat, sometimes strong wind and worsening rural fire danger until Tuesday.
Joining these conditions is the phenomenon known as "east weather", characterized by the presence of suspended dust from Africa. According to the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), the day should have mostly clear or clear sky throughout the region.
The wind will blow light to moderate, between 10 to 30 kilometers per hour, from the northeast, possibly reaching gusts. The combination of these factors led meteorological authorities to reinforce surveillance on the island situation.
