A 53-year-old man is awaiting trial in preventive detention, suspected of domestic violence crimes in Rio Maior. The National Republican Guard detained the individual last week.
The victim, a 44-year-old woman, filed a complaint against the suspect. According to the GNR, the woman reported several years of scenes of jealousy, attempts at control, assault, threats and psychological pressure.
The suspect was brought before a judge for first interrogation and was subjected to preventive detention. The case is now awaiting trial.
