The National Republican Guard detained on Thursday two men, aged 19 and 21, for theft inside a residence and bank card abuse in the municipality of Ponte de Lima. The wallet was stolen on September 8 and one of the cards was later used by the suspects to make purchases or withdrawals.
The GNR military managed to identify the suspects and recover the wallet, documents and cards, which were returned to the victim. A significant part of the stolen money was also recovered.
During the operation, the 19-year-old suspect was also arrested in the act for drug trafficking. In his possession they had 154 doses of hashish, a precision scale, a mobile phone and 685 euros in cash, which were seized by the authorities.
The two suspects were made defendants for the crimes of theft and ATM card abuse. The 19-year-old was also made a defendant for the crime of drug trafficking and the facts were reported to the Judicial Court of Ponte de Lima.
