Former US President George W. Bush exhibited 16 paintings painted by himself that depict memories of September 11, 2001. The exhibition takes place 25 years after the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York.
The attacks on the towers killed nearly 3,000 people and marked one of the darkest days in the history of the United States. At the time, George W. Bush had already been president for eight months.
Bush dedicated himself to painting after leaving the presidency and now reveals to the public these works inspired by his personal memories of that fateful day. The canvases capture the unique perspective of someone who was in command of the country during the tragedy.
