K-pop arrived at Rock in Rio with the Stray Kids group closing the activities as headliner of the Mundo Stage this Friday. The group requested that a runway be mounted in front of the stage, a structure that was erected throughout the week at the festival site. The runway is T-shaped and features a small ladder in the center that provides access to an area very close to the audience, bringing the eight members even closer to the fans.

Stray Kids is made up of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N, and is on tour in America. The South Korean group is one of the biggest names in k-pop currently and attracted great expectations from Brazilian fans.

On social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), fans celebrated the novelty. One comment said the runway was extremely low, which meant a victory for fans. Another comment highlighted that the little ladder meant something special, demonstrating the public's excitement with the proximity that the structure will allow.

Cidade do Rock, the festival venue, hosts artists from different musical genres throughout the seven days of the event, and the presence of Stray Kids represents a milestone for k-pop at Brazil's largest music festival.
