Fachin suspends Mendonça's decision that removed Andrei Rodrigues from the Federal Police

Minister Edson Fachin, from the Supreme Federal Court, suspended a decision by Minister André Mendonça that had removed Andrei Rodrigues from the direction of the Federal Police. Fachin also revoked Mendonça's measure.

Additionally, Fachin overturned a prior decision by fellow Minister Flavio Dino that had reinstated Rodrigues to his position at the Federal Police. With this, the case went through different decisions among the court's ministers.

The president of the STF took over the Fake News inquiry, which dealt with the case involving Andrei Rodrigues. The matter generated disagreement among the Supreme Court's ministers.

Rodrigues held the position of director of the Federal Police prior to the decisions made by the court's ministers. All decisions by Ministers André Mendonça and Flavio Dino were suspended by Fachin.
