The Ministry of Justice and Public Security released a statement reaffirming confidence in republican institutions and the Federal Constitution. The position is a reaction to the decision by the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Justice Edson Fachin, who suspended on Wednesday (9) the decisions of Justices André Mendonça and Flávio Dino regarding the removal of Andrei Rodrigues from the position of director-general of the Federal Police.
In the statement, the ministry highlights the prestige and credibility of the Federal Police before Brazilian society. The Attorney General's Office (AGU) also celebrated Fachin's decision to suspend the decision that removed Andrei Rodrigues from the Federal Police.
The ministry states that the Federal Police will continue fulfilling its institutional missions with dedication and commitment, involving all members of the corporation, from management to staff. Fachin also convened the full STF to analyze the Federal Police reports on the alleged relationship between Justice Alexandre de Moraes and businessman Rodrigo Rocha.
