Fachin schedules for August 15 judgment of reports on Moraes in Master case

The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, determined this Wednesday the suspension of "any and all procedures" involving a potential investigation against Court ministers. The decision is part of a series of measures adopted to centralize at the Court's Presidency the different fronts opened amid the crisis at the STF.

Fachin also convened an extraordinary plenary session for next Tuesday, August 15, at 10am, to analyze the process that brings together the Federal Police report with mentions to Justice Alexandre de Moraes. Under the decision, procedures dealing with a potential investigation against Supreme members must be referred to the Presidency in advance.

The president also suspended the processing of the petition dealing with the investigation against Moraes, reported by Justice André Mendonça, until further deliberation. Since Mendonça had already indicated the process to the agenda, Fachin convened the extraordinary session so that the matter can be analyzed by the full Court.
