Citizens from Cascais submitted a request to the court for the embargo on works at Quinta dos Ingleses to be maintained. This area is the subject of dispute between local inhabitants and the municipality.
The action was brought by the citizen movement "66 pela Quinta" against the municipality of Cascais, contesting the urban planning project underway in the area.
The construction company Alves Ribeiro, responsible for carrying out the works, and the private school St. Julian's School, located near Quinta dos Ingleses, are co-respondents in the case.
The court will now have to decide whether to maintain or lift the embargo that temporarily suspended construction work at the site.
