September 8th was described as "a very sad day for democracy in Portugal" by Fernando Negrão, a former minister who, on Antena 1, stated that what happened left the Portuguese concerned. Negrão also expressed that he does not like shouting and left a warning to politicians, saying that "the Portuguese have already started to understand" certain things.
That Tuesday was a particularly busy day in Portuguese politics. In the morning, there was a hearing with Minister Luís Neves in Parliament, and in the afternoon there was a debate and vote on a motion of censure.
