Jornal O Interior9 September 2026 at 13:30

The river beach of Valhelhas, in the municipality of Guarda, was the most voted in the election organized by the publication "Guide to River Beaches". This recognition highlights Valhelhas as a privileged destination for swimming in river waters.

The second place in the voting went to Loriga, located in the municipality of Seia. Both river beaches were thus distinguished among the most popular among the guide's readers.

The initiative counted with the participation of thousands of people and involved 216 river beaches and bathing areas spread across the country, demonstrating the great interest of the Portuguese in these natural leisure spaces.

The voting was carried out exclusively by the guide's readers, who were able to elect their favorite river beaches among the various options available throughout the national territory.
