Half of enrolled students were absent from extraordinary exam season exams

Diário de Aveiro9 September 2026 at 14:55

Half of the students who enrolled for the extraordinary secondary school exam season ended up not showing up for the tests. This high absence rate was recorded among 11th and 12th grade students.

Almost 44 thousand students were enrolled to participate in this special exam season. However, a significant proportion of these students did not show up for the tests that were held.

The extraordinary exam season is normally intended for students who were unable to take the exams during the regular season, for specific reasons. This period takes place outside the usual assessment calendar of the school year.
