Rui Marques assumes "year zero" and leaves framework to the Government

Rui Marques, president of the Municipality of Ponta do Sol, classified the first ten months of governance in the municipality as a "year zero", a period dedicated to the reorganization of the municipality. The declaration was made during the solemn session commemorating the 525th anniversary of the municipality.

Before regional secretary Pedro Rodrigues, who represented the Regional Government at the ceremony, Marques took the occasion to present an extensive list of demands with the main needs of the municipality.

Among the requests presented, the highlights are the construction of a new primary school for the municipal seat, interventions on Estrada dos Anjos, at the old marina, at the Lagoa do Lugar de Baixo and at the recta dos Canh, thus covering several areas of the municipal territory.
