The new Quaest survey on the election for the government of Rio de Janeiro, released this Tuesday, places former mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) in the lead with 39% of voting intentions. The president of the Legislative Assembly, Douglas Ruas (PL), appears in second place with 18%, while former governor Anthony Garotinho (Republicanos) registers 8%. Other candidates such as Cyro Garcia (PSTU) have 2%, and William Siri (PSOL), André Marinho (Novo) and Coronel Busnello (Missão) score with 1% each. The total of voters who say they will not vote or will vote blank or null is 14%, and the undecided sum 16%.
In comparison with the previous survey, released on August 25, Paes oscillated two points upward, while Douglas Ruas rose four points. The margin of error of the survey is three percentage points. Since the last survey, electoral propaganda on TV and radio has begun.
