The Genial/Quaest poll released this Tuesday reveals that Senator Cleitinho Azevedo (Republicanos) leads the race for the government of Minas Gerais with 32% of voting intentions, maintaining his prominent position in the state dispute.

The survey places Federal Deputy Patrus Ananias (PT-MG) and former mayor of Belo Horizonte Alexandre Kalil (PDT) tied in second place, both with 11% of voting intentions. The current governor, Mateus Simões (PSD), appears with 8%, followed by businessman Flaviano Roscoe (PL-MG) with 3%.

The survey also records 17% of undecided voters and 12% who declared they will vote blank, null, or won't vote. The other candidates mentioned are Gabriel (MDB) with 3% and Ben Mendes (Missão) with 2%.

Less than a month from the first round, Cleitinho's position appears consolidated in the poll, despite his candidacy having initially been marked by instability, resulting from the senator's indecision and an impasse with the Republicanos leadership regarding his candidacy.
