A duo was arrested in Espinho on suspicion of being involved in several robberies in the city. The operation was carried out by PSP - Public Security Police.

One of the arrested men posed as a Judicial Police agent, using this false identity to commit the crimes he is suspected of.

Authorities highlight that this arrest represents a significant contribution to restoring the feeling of safety and public tranquility in Espinho.

The PSP operation allowed the two suspects to be taken off the streets, and they will now have to answer judicially for the crimes attributed to them.

Serious injury in EN2 road accident

A man was seriously injured after a vehicle went off the road on the EN2, in Vila Pouca de Aguiar. The alert was given at 3:10 PM and the victim was transported by INEM helicopter to the hospital in Vila Real. Fourteen operatives and three vehicles from the Vila Pouca de Aguiar fire brigade were dispatched to the scene, in addition to the helicopter crew. The GNR is investigating the causes of the accident.
