Serious injury in EN2 road accident

A man suffered serious injuries following a road accident on national road EN2. The alert for the accident was given at 3:10 PM and the GNR confirmed that the victim was transported by the helicopter of the National Institute of Medical Emergencies to the hospital in Vila Real.

Fourteen operatives, supported by three vehicles, from the Vila Pouca de Aguiar fire brigade were dispatched to the scene of the accident, as well as the INEM helicopter crew.

The GNR is on site investigating the causes of the accident. The incident was reported by the source A Voz de Trás-os-Montes.

The Military Police of Rio de Janeiro, through the Special Operations Command (COE), seized an armored vehicle known as a "crime caveirão," firearms and drugs during an operation to combat criminality in the Vargem Grande region, in the Southwest Zone of the city.
