ViniPortugal, the entity managing the Wines of Portugal brand responsible for the international promotion of Portuguese wine, has launched three tenders for the execution of its annual marketing plan for 2027. The tenders are intended for the Belgium and Netherlands markets, valued at 162 thousand euros, Japan with 129.1 thousand euros, and South Korea with 125.5 thousand euros, and are open until September 10 at 5 pm. The entity had already recently launched the tenders for its presence at Prowein Düsseldorf and Wine Paris 2027.

The tenders are of the "restricted by prior qualification" type, a procedure in which only pre-selected candidates may submit proposals after a qualification phase. In all three tenders, priority is given to the quality factor, representing 70% of the evaluation, divided between total quality at 60% and extra activities or additional benefits at 40%, with price accounting for the remaining 30%.

In 2025, Wine and Wine Culture Co. won the Japan contract and Hoscotch Korea Yuhan Hoesa won the South Korea tender, with Sopexa Korea and Opal Publicidade also having competed for this latter market. Over the past two years, Luxembourg was part of the Benelux contract. The 2026 contracts have not yet been made available on the Base portal.

Regarding exports, in 2025 sales to Belgium and South Korea increased both in volume and value, while the other two markets covered by these tenders experienced a decline. France, the United States, and Brazil continue to be the main export markets for Portuguese wine.

The article analyses the impact of Italian economic growth, forecast at around 1% of GDP, on the State Budget for 2027. Economist Pietro Reichlin considers the forecast "realistic", but warns that Italy remains at the bottom of the EU in terms of growth. According to the specialist, this level of growth will not be sufficient to broaden the budgetary leeway, due to structural factors such as low productivity and demographic decline that continue to condition the Italian economy.

Social Security pays this support to thousands of beneficiaries: more than half receive more than 200 euros

Social Security paid this Tuesday the Complementary Solidary for the Elderly (CSI), a benefit aimed at low-income pensioners. In June 2026, the CSI covered approximately 245.5 thousand people, the highest value since its creation, representing an increase of 75% compared to April 2024. For the first time, more than half of beneficiaries receive more than 200 euros monthly, with one in five receiving above 300 euros. The growth is due to the increase in the reference value from 550.70 to 670 euros and changes in access conditions, which no longer consider children's income. Beneficiaries continue to have free access to medicines, but with new rules that prioritize generics and limit reimbursement to the reference price.
