Resident José spoke to CMTV about the moment when the bad weather hit his house. According to his account, the episode was described as "very scary," evidencing the emotional impact the storm caused on residents of the area.

The phenomenon caused various damages to José's home, in addition to the damage to the vehicle. The case of Albergaria-a-Velha fits within a context of adverse weather conditions that have been affecting various regions of the country.

Cold snap and heavy rain coming: bad weather is indeed on its way and these will be the most affected districts

A cold front arrives in Portugal this Tuesday, bringing rain and a widespread drop in temperatures after several days of abnormally high heat for the season. The first periods of rain should reach the districts of Viana do Castelo and Braga between 2pm and 4pm, then extending to Porto, Aveiro, Vila Real, Viseu, Bragança, and Guarda.
