The Criminal Prevention and Community Policing Section of Miranda do Douro promoted an awareness-raising action aimed at traders in the municipality, with the aim of reinforcing the importance of prevention and safety in commercial establishments. The initiative sought to alert traders to adopt preventive behaviours and measures that can contribute to reducing the risk of criminal situations and ensure greater safety in the daily life of local commerce.
During the action, the importance of proximity between traders and security forces was also reinforced, facilitating the sharing of information and the identification of any potential risk situations. This approach aims to create a more direct communication channel between GNR and the commercial community.
The intervention is part of the work developed by GNR within the scope of criminal prevention and community policing, bringing military personnel closer to the population and promoting greater awareness of security issues. Through this type of initiative, the security force aims to strengthen cooperation with the community and contribute to safer local commerce in Miranda do Douro.
