A real estate scam scheme in the Algarve defrauded dozens of victims out of a total amount of approximately four million euros. Joana Wirachman, together with three solicitors, was selling properties without the knowledge of the legitimate owners, forging documents, and deceiving family members to carry out the fraudulent transactions.
The four defendants were ordered to stand trial by the court, after the Public Prosecutor validated the accusation against the group. The scheme involved the use of forged documents to proceed with the sale of properties that did not belong to them.
The scams affected a significant number of people, who lost money and, in many cases, their real estate assets through transactions carried out fraudulently and without their consent. The total value of the frauds amounts to approximately four million euros.
