A woman suffered a leg fracture after falling on a trail near Buracas. The accident occurred inside a small cave, more than 300 meters from the nearest road, which made access to the location difficult.
The incident required the intervention of the Condeixa Firefighters, who had to travel to the site using specific equipment due to the remote location of the cave.
The VMER CHUC (Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle of the Hospital and University Center) also took part in the emergency response to provide pre-hospital assistance to the victim.
After initial first aid at the scene, the woman was transported to a health facility to receive appropriate treatment for the fracture sustained.
