The access to the 25 de Abril Bridge, near Pragal, was the scene on Monday morning, September 7, of a protest honk against the increase in fuel prices. The demonstration took place on the bridge's access road, on the Almada side, and essentially consisted of participants using their car horns as a form of expressing disagreement.
The protest was driven by the increase in fuel prices, an issue that has generated considerable social unrest. Participants took advantage of the bridge's strategic location, one of the main access routes between Lisbon and the southern bank, to maximize the visibility of their claim.
The event was reported by the Almada online portal, which identified the action as a protest honk. The choice of the 25 de Abril Bridge as a gathering point was due to the high volume of vehicles and people on that route, allowing the protest message to reach a large number of people.
