CIM Beira Baixa with 57.3 million euros in support for storm Kristin damages

The Intermunicipal Community (CIM) of Beira Baixa has had approved funding of 57.34 million euros to support the recovery of the territory affected by storm Kristin. This amount represents a significant portion of the damages reported in the region.

In total, 2,272 applications were submitted under this recovery support scheme. The total damages reported by CIM Beira Baixa reach 74.33 million euros, an amount higher than the funding now approved.

The figures were released this Monday by CIM Beira Baixa, which manages the funds destined for the municipalities in the region. Storm Kristin caused significant damage in the Beira Baixa area, prompting the request for support for reconstruction and recovery.
