The traditional Battle of Flowers once again animated the main streets of Lamego today, in one of the most anticipated moments of the city's celebrations. The afternoon procession of September 7th recovers, in daylight, the spirit of the Illuminated March held the night before, bringing to the streets parades marked by color, music, satire and tradition.
Thousands of people are expected along the route to watch the parade and participate in a festive atmosphere, where paper confetti and streamers are launched during the passage of the procession.
Among ethnographic, musical and satirical elements, the Battle of Flowers promises to once again transform Lamego into a great celebration of color and joy. The event is one of the most important traditions of the city's festivities, attracting both residents and visitors to the streets.
