The Pediatric Oncology Service of São João will present a short film at Casa da Música on September 20th, an initiative integrated in Golden September, a month dedicated to raising awareness about pediatric cancer. The session places art at the center of a particularly difficult reality and brings together cinema, music and movement to talk about emotions, dreams and how each person views happiness.
The short film was made by Crónica Pitoresca and starts from the question "what is happiness?" to construct a story through different perspectives and emotions. The initiative also features the participation of Casa da Música Children's Choir and Desporto no Bairro, in a meeting that aims to show how different forms of artistic expression can help address complex experiences and realities.
The event seeks to draw attention to pediatric cancer and to the needs of children and young people facing the disease, while also valuing their dreams and their ability to continue looking toward the future. The initiative aims to contribute to greater awareness in society and transform that attention into commitment.
The session takes place at Casa da Música and has free admission, although prior ticket reservation is required.
