The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), in Vila Real, will host the 25th edition of the National Ecology Conference between December 9 and 11. The event will bring together researchers and professionals linked to nature conservation and sustainability in the region.
The conference's theme is "Ecology in Action: from Global Commitments to Resilient Territories" and aims to promote knowledge sharing and debate on the main ecological challenges of today and the future.
The initiative is jointly organized by the Centre for Investigation and Agroenvironmental and Biological Technologies (CITAB) and the Portuguese Society of Ecology (SPECO), positioning UTAD as a meeting point for the scientific community dedicated to ecology and biodiversity.
Over three days, Vila Real will be the stage for reflection on nature conservation, sustainability, and building more resilient territories.
