The saga "The diary of a clumsy princess", written by Mineira author Maidy Lacerda, became a publishing phenomenon with over 1 million copies sold. The series, composed of six books published by Editora Planeta, includes volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the main line, plus the spin-offs "The evil notebook of Scorpio" (1 and 2). Maidy, whose real name is Yara, is 29 years old and has a degree in Film.

The author was discovered by the publisher through the internet, where she shared reading tips and wrote book reviews. The success of the series is not limited to Brazil: Maidy is a bestseller in Portugal and has just had her books published in Latin American countries. The international expansion continues, with a release planned for Spain next year.

At the São Paulo Book Fair, Maidy Lacerda will be present to launch "The diary of gnome tasks of the Traveling Floreante", another spin-off of the series that already features Princess Amora as the central character. The book is part of a strategy to expand the literary universe created by the author.

The writer's biggest dream is to see Princess Amora on the big screen, adapting her story for the cinema. With the growing popularity of the series and the international expansion, the possibility of an audiovisual adaptation seems increasingly close to becoming reality.
