Meet the 50-year trajectory of the former ballerina who collects fans with her stretching classes

oglobo6 September 2026 at 08:36

Cristina Heydt, a former ballerina known as "Cristina do alongamento," celebrates 50 years of career teaching exercises focused on posture at her Coluna School. Her trajectory began in the mid-1970s, when she abandoned her university philosophy course to dedicate herself to dance, practicing eight daily hours of various styles, including classical dance with the Ukrainian ballerina "Dona" Eugênia Feodorova.

In the 1980s and 1990s, she became a stretching guru in Ipanema, teaching at Academia Jussara, located on Rua Visconde de Pirajá, in front of the Chaika snack bar, above the Fiorucci store. The address was extremely popular and frequented by celebrities such as Cissa Guimarães, Julia Lemmertz, Patricya Travassos, Claudia Raia, Analu Prestes, Lauro Corona, Antonia Mayrink Veiga, and Louise Cardoso, all vying for her stretching classes.
