A 65-year-old man died on Thursday, September 3, as a result of a work accident in the locality of Vila Maior, in the municipality of São Pedro do Sul. The victim was cleaning a well when a stone fell on him, causing immediate death.

The Viseu Dão Lafões Sub-regional Command confirmed the accident, having received the alert at 10:32 AM on the same day.

At the scene, 20 operatives responded supported by six vehicles, which included the Public Rescue Firefighters, elements of the Republican National Guard, technicians from the National Institute of Medical Emergency and a medical support helicopter.

E-REDES announced new scheduled power outages for Sunday, September 6th, affecting areas in the municipalities of Odemira, Mafra, and Palmela.
