A creature classified as "exceptionally aggressive" terrorized residents of Lebanon, in New Hampshire, the United States, leaving at least three victims in less than 48 hours in the Centerra Park area. The attacks began last Sunday (8/30) and were recorded in security camera videos that captured moments of desperation from the victims.
The witnesses believe the mysterious animal could be a gray fox or a fisher cat, but local police have not yet managed to capture the animal or identify its exact species. One of the video recordings shows the moment a driver gets out of a moving van and is surprised by the creature running toward him, lunging directly at the victim's feet.
The main suspicion of authorities is that the animal is contaminated with the rabies virus, which would explain the exceptionally aggressive behavior. Authorities asked that the population double their care and start to "remain alert to what is happening around them" given the situation.
